I recently listened to a podcast that blew me away (link at the bottom).
Since March 2020, we’ve been living in a world of very bad news, bombarded with fear porn. At first, we had to “stay tuned” to know what was happening, but, y’all, it’s been 3 years now. Three. I am worn out.
Yes, the world is still turning and we need to stay tuned to some degree, but how much time do we spend becoming an expert in a very bad thing?
Like: do you know more about East Palestine than how much a pound of liver costs? (And a tolerable liver recipe lol?) A dozen pastured eggs? Do you know WHY you want to eat clean? What is your kids' best friends' favorite color? Where is your closest farmer? What is the last podcast you heard on something useful? Do you journal? Spend time in nature without an earbud?
Maybe it’s time to mindfully CHANGE PRIORITIES.
That podcast was a loud BOOM in my head, could not sleep thru that, lol!!! So I’m now done doom-scrolling. Just. Not. Doing. It. When I hear about a bad thing, I refuse to watch ALL the YouTubes. I delete ALL my emails on very bad things. They stay in the trash for 30 days, plenty of time to go back and read if I want.
I am playing in the positive light these days, in solutions I can use and share. After the last 3 years (Covid + personal hideousness), I have a very strong belief that germs don’t make us sick. Stress and worry does.
I've reignited my passion for health, nutrition, personal development and helping others share that space. Honestly, people need to get healthy to successfully navigate this new normal. I can help with that, it’s my superpower. We all have at least one. What is yours? Let’s focus on THAT.
Love you all. xo Sally
The podcast is here: Tommy John & Hilda LaBrada Gore talk about being an expert on Very Bad Things

Soak chicken livers in buttermilk for a few hours
Pat dry, coat in flour
Fry in butterfat, don’t overcook
Season, serve with mashed potatoes, fried apple rings and heaps of fried onion rings
I have heard (and felt) this same shift from a few different directions in my world. Thanks for sharing :)
