One of the World's Weston A Price Kitchens!
Someone asked, "Well, you don't eat prepared foods. And you don't go out very often. What DO you eat?" We asked the same question: what were we going to eat now? Once you reconcile the fact that prepared foods contain ingredients no animal on the planet should ingest... your food world starts to look kinda small. The grocery store is no longer a fun shopping experience. In fact, it's a less-than-healthy rather dangerous place to buy food. Seriously. There were growing pains, some ridiculously painful detachments. Giving up McDonald's, fast food, Coke and industrial chicken--those were rough. I hate to admit it, but it's true. It took a LOT of education, forcing ourselves to wake up... we kept our heads in the sand for as long as possible. Change is hard. Especially food change.
Maybe that's why Kissinger said: "He who controls the food controls the people." Get us by our comfort foods, you got us.
What DO we eat? Mmmm-mmm: real good, REAL food, that's what we eat. We used to think this real food lifestyle was going to be limiting. What we realized is that we get in routines and eat the same stuff over and over again. And it's not even a wide range of foods! So, why not have it be real food instead of faux food? Here it is, one of the world's Weston A Price kitchens. It's not impressive by any means, but we've come a long way. Wish I had a before picture. Omg, that would be telling!
Do You Have a Weston A Price Kitchen?
If you are a WAPF'er--or, better yet, transitioning into one--show us your Weston A Price kitchen! I took this with my phone and Youtube makes it ridiculously easy to upload, edit and annotate a video! I have DSL (aka SLOW) internet so it took all night to put up, but I just left the computer on and went to bed. Once your Weston A Price kitchen is online, put a link in the comments here and/or on the YouTube video page. Thanks! You can also share them on the Weston A Price Foundation Facebook page on this post. Looking forward to getting some ideas!!! WAPF = Weston A Price Foundation, btw. If you hold your cursor over any word or phrase with a dotted line under it, you get the acronym spelled out.
