I've been hearing about this for months now. Mostly from a good friend who does it a LOT, so I did a bunch of reading, then jumped in.
Mostly because I had the virus and was having no fun. Much milder than most of my friends, thank goodness! The big clue was loss of taste. I had that completely, plus regular flu symptoms: tired, a little achy. No fever or headache or vomiting... so I escaped the really bad symptoms!
Here’s how I nebulized H2O2 the first time (I recorded this on TikTok and they took it down, something about “community standards” 🙄):
Here are the main sources of info I devoured:
First up is one of my FDN colleagues, Michael McEvoy, nebulilzing NAC. Michael is very well respected in the alternative medicine field. I’d love you to see this video first because you learn about the amazing benefits of nebulizing.
Other Resources:
Dr. Levy's free book and his website
This is the black salve that I use (since I mention it in the video) I purchased this a few years ago and just used some on my husband's face last month. Still good!
Basic Instructions
INGREDIENTS/TOOLS
12% food grade h2o2 -- food grade so no fillers. I got mine on Amazon here but you might be able to find locally at a health food store. If you prefer to use 3% or 36%, here’s a handy dandy chart:
CLEAN water: distilled or RO, just not tap. Berkey filtered is better than tap. You want very clean water because you are inhaling this into your lungs for therapeutic purposes.
Salt -- my friend Sheri uses table salt. I used Real Salt which has a brown mineral that did not dissolve. I just left that in the bottom of the pan. I'm getting Himalayan salt to try next. I get Real Salt here on Amazon but you can often find at your local grocery store! Himalayan salt too.
Nebulizer -- I have this one. I got the "kit without battery", $77 delivered. Comes with an AC adapter and a car plugin. (See image below) Until you get a nebulizer, you can use a diffuser. (See video below) You can also use a cool mist humidifier.
TOTALLY OPTIONAL Iodine 2% Excellent info here. I use this Lugol’s Solution, we have used this brand off and on for years.
INSTRUCTIONS
Make the saline water: dissolve 1 tsp salt into 2 cups (1 pint) water. Heat water to dissolve salt, then cool the water in the fridge.
Make the solution* to be nebulized: mix 1/4 tsp 12% h2o2 into 5 ounces saline water. IF YOU ARE USING A DIFFERENT % H2O2, see chart above for recipe.
Pour 5 cc of that into the nebulizer cup
Add 1-2 drops of the 2% iodine if you are up for it.
Put on mask, power on and breathe deep :)
TIP: alternate breathing thru your mouth and your nose.
*This solution is good for 3 days. You can nebulize several times a day, just make new solution on day 4!
It turns out that nebulizing H2O2 is quite simple to do, and I can do while reading or watching videos. Once the solution is fixed up, doing this 4 times a day was pretty easy until I got over the crud. Ok, 2-4 times a day. Occasionally 1x/day. I honestly don’t think I skipped a day. Nobody’s perfect.
The main thing that sticks with me from Michael’s video above is that nebulizing gets your formula into your entire body via the lungs. Amazing intervention!
Nebulizing H2O2 is now a regular part of my healthy living lifestyle. Please let me know if you try this and what you thought of it. If you nebulize regularly, what do you nebulize most and how has it helped you and your family?

I used this on my son in '21 when Delta was going around. He was deathly sick and could barely breathe. It brought him around quickly, in fact more quickly than two other family members who weren't as sick but chose not to nebulize.
